23rd Shimokawa Udon Festival - Recruitment of Carriers for 'Donchan Mikoshi'

We are recruiting carriers for the 'Donchan Mikoshi' (portable shrine), which will be held as the final program on the first day of the 23rd Shimokawa Udon Festival. [Overview] We are recruiting carriers for the 'Donchan Mikoshi' to be held as the final program on the first day of the udon festival. [Date and Time] September 12, 2026 (Saturday) 19:35-19:55 (tentative) [Location] Nigiwai no Hiroba, in front of Kidousha (within the udon festival venue) *Assembly time and location will be announced separately. [Eligibility] - Age 20 and above (regardless of gender or residence) [Dress Code] - Comfortable, wet-resistant clothing (no easily removable shoes) *Please bring a change of clothes (clothes, shoes, towels, etc.) *You will wear a happi (festival coat) provided by the organizing committee *If you wish to wear red fundoshi, please notify us by September 4 (Friday) [Application Method] Please submit through the application form. Phone and email applications are also accepted. Please provide your name, age, and contact information. [Important Notes for Participation] - Water will be splashed at the mikoshi from around the venue. Please understand that you will get wet and participate accordingly. - As this is held in September, please bring outerwear and a change of clothes for after getting wet. - Participation in a state of intoxication is prohibited as it may lead to serious accidents. - Participants are prohibited from bringing their own water-splashing tools such as water guns.
