Bringing Skills Developed Overseas to Rural Japan: Yosuke Oishi Started a Guesthouse and Local Tours in Shimokawa Town After Returning from JICA

Yosuke Oishi was an elementary school teacher in Shizuoka Prefecture before joining JICA Overseas Cooperation Volunteers. After spending two years in Mongolia, he returned to Japan and took a position with the entrepreneurial community revitalization corps "Shimokawa Bears" (Shimokawa) in Shimokawa Town. We interviewed him about how the skills he developed overseas are being applied to his local community and for those considering their career path after returning from overseas assignments.
